Directions

The Unicorn Theatre & The Fitzpatrick Main Stage Stockbridge, MA

Please note that while both the Fitzpatrick Main Stage (83 East Main Street) and the Unicorn Theatre (6 East Street) are housed on the same campus (and are within walking distance of each other) there are separate vehicle entrances for the parking areas for each theatre.

From Albany and points west:

  • Take NY Thruway to Mass Pike (I-90) headed east
  • Take Exit 10 (old exit 2) in Massachusetts (Lee)
  • Turn left from exit on Route102 West towards Lee/Stockbridge
  • Main Stage is located on your right, approximately 5 minutes down the road; there will be parking lot attendants to guide you into the lot and into your parking space
  • To get to Unicorn, turn right at Route 7 North, approximately 1 minute past Main Stage, entrance will be on your right; there will be parking lot attendants to guide you into the lot and into your parking space

From Boston and points east:

  • Take Mass Pike (I-90) headed west
  • Take Exit 10 (Lee) (old exit 2)
  • Turn left from exit on Route102 West towards Lee/Stockbridge
  • Main Stage is located on your right, approximately 5 minutes down the road; there will be parking lot attendants to guide you into the lot and into your parking space
  • To get to Unicorn, turn right at Route 7 North, approximately 1 minute past Main Stage, entrance will be on your right; there will be parking lot attendants to guide you into the lot and into your parking space

From NY City and points south: 

  • Take Taconic State Parkway or New York Thruway to Mass Pike (I-90) headed east
  • Take Exit 10 (old exit 2) in Massachusetts (Lee)
  • Turn left from exit on Route102 West towards Lee/Stockbridge
  • Main Stage is located on your right, approximately 5 minutes down the road; there will be parking lot attendants to guide you into the lot and into your parking space
  • To get to Unicorn, turn right at Route 7 North, approximately 1 minute past Main Stage, entrance will be on your right; there will be parking lot attendants to guide you into the lot and into your parking space

Parking

Many commercial lots, within a one-block radius, are available for parking after 5pm. On-street parking is free after 5pm and on weekends.

 

Directions From Major Roadways

From the North (Vermont)

Travel South on Route 7 until you reach Pittsfield center. At the junction with Route 9 turn right and follow Route 7 round to the left. Route 7 becomes South Street. The Colonial is on the left side of South Street just past the Berkshire Museum.

From the South (Hartford, CT)

  • Travel North on I-91 toward Springfield
  • Take Exit 14 to I-90 West toward Westfield/Albany
  • Take Exit 10 (old exit 2) to Lenox/Lee/Pittsfield. Bear right off the exit ramp
  • Travel North on Route 20W through Lee and Lenox to Pittsfield
  • Once in Pittsfield, Route 20 becomes Route 7 ( South Street)
  • The Colonial is on the right side of South Street, just after the intersection of South and E. Housatonic Streets, and before the rotary in the center of Pittsfield.

From the South (New York, NY):

  • Travel North on I-87N
  • Merge onto I-90E toward Massachusetts
  • Take Exit 10 (old exit 2)to Lee/Lenox/Pittsfield. Bear right off the exit ramp
  • Travel North on Route 20W through Lee and Lenox to Pittsfield
  • Once in Pittsfield, Route 20 becomes Route 7 ( South Street)
  • The Colonial is on the right side of South Street, just after the intersection of South and E. Housatonic Streets, and before the rotary in the center of Pittsfield

From the West (Albany, NY):

  • Travel East on Route 20 until you reach the intersection of Route 20 and Route 7 ( South Street)
  • Take a left onto South Street
  • The Colonial is on the right side of South Street, just after the intersection of South Street and Route 20, and before the rotary in the center of Pittsfield

From the East (Springfield and Boston):

  • Travel West on I-90
  • Take Exit 10 (old exit 2) to Lee/Lenox/Pittsfield. Bear right off the exit ramp
  • Travel North on Route 20 through Lee and Lenox to Pittsfield
  • Once in Pittsfield, Route 20 becomes Route 7 ( South Street)
  • The Colonial is on the right side of South Street, just after the intersection of South and E. Housatonic Streets, and before the rotary in the center of Pittsfield

Air Travel

  • Albany Airport, Albany, New York, 1 hour, 45 miles
  • Bradley International Airport, Hartford, CT, 90 minutes, 70 miles
  • Logan International Airport, Boston, MA, 2 ½ hours, 135 miles

Rail

  • Amtrak offers service to Pittsfield on the Lake Shore Limited which runs between Boston & Chicago. 800-USA-RAIL
  • The Berkshire Flyer train runs Fridays and Sundays from New York City to Pittsfield for a limited time during the summer season (late May through early October)
