Please note: this production’s run time is 2 hours, 38 minutes including (2) 10-minute intermissions

Winner of the 1943 Pulitzer Prize, this theatrical masterpiece is a wildly entertaining and thought-provoking explosion of time and space. Meet the Antrobus family of contemporary and prehistoric New Jersey as they narrowly escape one disaster after another—dinosaurs, woolly mammoths, the Ice Age, world war, climate change—whether George Antrobus is inventing the alphabet or merely saving the world from apocalypse, he and his formidable family somehow manage to survive.

Written by three-time Pulitzer Prize-Winner Thornton Wilder and directed by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-Winner David Auburn (Proof; BTG: The Petrified Forest, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), The Skin of our Teeth is an optimistic tribute to the invincibility of the human spirit.

“If you’re one of those benighted souls who suffer from the delusion that all the best theater is in New York, these undertakings should make you think twice.”
–Terry Teachout, The Wall Street Journal

“Danny Johnson delivers…Ariana Venturi’s performance of Sabina is both strong and amusing…Tony Award winner Harriet Harris is flawless…amusing and thought provoking play”
–Marc Savitt, BroadwayWorld

“charges forward with enthusiasm and ambition…contemporary and relevant”
–Fred Sokol, TalkinBroadway

“Ariana Venturi, dazzles…Lynnette R. Freeman, is tour-de-force…Danny Johnson was a powerhouse…Tony Award-Winner Harriet Harris, plays Mrs. Antrobus with the same nuances and sly comedy that area audiences love her for. –Mark Auerbach, The Westfield News

“I happily applaud this stage triumph.”–Peter Bergman, TheBerkshireEdge

“vital, textually-focused production” –Dan Dwyer, OffScript
