Join BTG in honoring Black History Month with The Black Legacy Project, a powerful musical celebration of Black history designed to advance racial solidarity, equity, and belonging. This immersive multimedia experience combines film, thought-provoking conversation, and live musical performances to inspire, educate, and entertain.
The Black Legacy Project features captivating reimaginings of songs central to the Black American experience, with works by artists such as Sam Cooke, Bruce Springsteen, Arrested Development, Indigo Girls and more. These performances are complemented by original compositions that address the urgent calls for justice and change in our time.
Looking ahead, Black LP’s second album, Vol. 2, will debut in February 2025 alongside the release of a feature-length film documenting this impactful project.
Produced by Music in Common, a globally-reaching nonprofit based in Atlanta, The Black Legacy Project brings people together across social divides to discover common ground through conversation and music. Recognized by CNN as Champions for Change in 2022, Music in Common continues to transform communities through the power of connection and creativity.
