Casual Fridays with David Adkins

Episode #7: Kate Maguire

This weeks guest is Kate Maguire the Artistic Director and CEO of Berkshire Theatre Group!
Our theatre has just announced the opening of the first musical in the country to be produced after the Covid 19 restrictions and lockdown. The road to an opening night is always a fantastic journey. But throw a global pandemic into the mix and you’ve got a real story to tell.

The road to this opening night will be unique. Safety is utmost on our minds at BTG. A global pandemic must be taken seriously.

There is a story to tell. Kate will give us the inside story and speak about the journey that will lead to opening theatre in August 2020…the ups and downs, the highs and lows of making what seemed like just a dream…come true.

David Adkins talks to Berkshire Theatre Group actors, directors, designers and other friends of the theater about life – life in the arts, life during Covid19, hopes, dreams, and who knows what! Getting to the heart of the matter, and keeping us all connected while we’re apart – one artist at a time.

David has performed in over 30 productions at BTG including the goat, the petrified forest, and the zoo story. On TV David has most recently appeared as Senator Chet Wagner from Alabama on Madam Secretary. Other television includes the blacklist, homeland, the Americans, the good wife and others.

Age group: College and up.
