These well-crafted productions are appropriate for elementary and middle school and are designed to introduce students to the excitement of live theatre. A question and answer session with the actors follows each performance.
Tours have been an integral component of BTG PLAYS! since 1997. Touring all throughout Berkshire County and surrounding environs, BTG Touring production reaches thousands of students on an annual basis.

The Emperor's New Clothes
By Hans Christian Andersen, Adapted by E. Gray Simons III
Directed by Travis G. Daly
The latest report from News of the Realm... "The Emperor loves fashion!" In fact, he is so consumed with designer clothing that he thinks about nothing else in his kingdom. His Ministers concern over his obsession grows as the Emperor informs them that he will be spending a fortune in gold and gems to pay a Weaver to make him a robe woven from the most fabulous cloth in the world. And not only is the fabric incomparably beautiful, but the Weaver also claims that it is invisible to anyone who is not fit for his or her job or is hopelessly witless. What no one truly sees is that the Weaver is a swindler, who is pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. The comedy mounts when the Ministers and everyone else pretend to see the non-existent cloth for fear of appearing inept. The Emperor's New Clothes is a royal and fabulous fashion extravaganza for all ages.
It was really amazing and spectacular.
